Term 2 sees improvements to the website, more gaming titles, students and schools.

Divisions

Using the results from Term 1 many titles have been broken up into several divisions. Coming top of your division gives students the chance to win amazing prizes or rank up to the next division.

Introducing ASL Workshops

ACGL recently assisted with CURRO’s Esport Indaba – hosting talks and presentations to help assist coaches and teachers in understanding Esports. In our on-going attempts to make Esports accessible we will be hosting monthly workshops for interested teachers and students.

Our current line up for online workshops are as follows:

  • How to create and track tournaments on ACGL - 25th May Thursday 17:00
  • Esport Formats, tournaments and rules - TBC
  • The benefits of Esport (parent focused) - TBC
  • How to broadcast - TBC
  • How to shoutcast - TBC

The workshops will be hosted by ACGL as well as Esports professionals in South Africa. If you are interested in participating please fill in the following form.

Upcoming Mall Events in Gauteng:

ACGL will be hosting events in Pretoria on the following dates. These events will be open to the public but will be valuable experience to students:

  • Woodlands Boulevard 26-28 May.

More information to follow soon. You can check out some of the information on the event page.

Results:

The first week saw Fortnite Week 1 being streamed. Rondebosch put up a strong performance compared to Term 1 coming first over the two games. Only time will tell if they can remain consistent throughout the term.
